Website Mockup
Audience: Clients seeking arborist related work.
Tools: Procreate and Adobe XD.
Purpose: This mockup was designed to give an arborist company an updated feel on their website while also providing useful information and easy navigation.
Breakdown:
First I had a meeting with the client to have an understanding of what they want incorporated as well as reviewing a few examples of website styles they like. Once I received that information, I used Procreate to began to create a rough sketch of the website layout for both desktop and mobile view.
Starting with the desktop view, I created a side navigation bar because that is one of the top wants the client had mentioned. I then incorporated asks such as a slideshow for testimonials and horizontal scroll to show the different services that are provided.
The mobile view had the slideshow as well as horizontal scroll; however, I did a top navigation bar for this view. Once the user begins scrolling down the mobile view, they will have the ability to scroll all the way back to the top.
As for the color choices, the company has been using green and yellow for years. The client did tell me that they felt the specific shades used felt outdated and asked if I could change that up. I provided a couple options between lighter and darker shade and it was chosen to do the darker green with a mellow yellow.
